Description

Terry steps forward to do a spinning backhand punch with his following fist.

The KOF variant as him lead with his elbow first, making the attack do two hits (before becoming 1 hit in the CvS games and KOF XIV onwards).

The Street Fighter 6 version acting as his Drive Reversal, as Terry fully swing his arm in a swipe, as opposed to merely smacking it at his foe.

Strategy

A potent poking tool for Terry due to him moving forwards then back, this move serves to help him confirm within a spaced neutral or to help extend combos that involve him getting pushed away from his foe too far. It tends to be slow, and in some games has varied cancel properties; even then some combos might not properly work if he hits the foe with the very tip of the attack depending on pushback.

It also due to hitting twice in the older games, it also becomes a very potent guard crushing tool during his blockstrings.

However, as his far standing heavy punch in the Capcom vs. SNK games (where it only does one hit), there's no room to cancel it into anything normally, nor can it be chain-cancelled into. As a result on top of being minus on hit and block unless perfectly spaced or used as a spaced-anti-air, the move tends to be greatly overshadowed by Terry's better buttons, and can even be crouched under (unlike earlier versions with lower-reaching hitboxes).
