Description

K' draws on the power of his flames and punches the ground, engulfing the opponent in a pillar storm of fire.

While back in XIII he originally punched the ground to let loose the flame burst, KOF XIV has him already lower his fist to the ground to then emit the flame pillar from the ground.

In KOF XV, K' punches the ground once more, though the pillar is thinner and covers less of his figure while also emitting a small whirlwind of flames alongside.

Strategy

Hyper Chain Drive has an very large horizontal and vertical hitbox, and with it's quick startup and invulnerability of 19 frames, it combos from basically all possible Super and Climax cancels. It can shut down just about any anti-air or jump-in the opponent may try to throw out.

While it does have a very solid hitbox that gives it amazing reliability as a combo ender, you need to be right in the opponent's face for this to connect. In KOF XV, Hyper Chain Drive was greatly nerfed. The downsides? Oh, you know... just the fact that this takes a whole eternity to recover on whiff. The fact that it does a pitiful 3 chip damage out of just one hit even if it's blocked. Just a few minor inconveniences, really.

And before you get the idea to throw this out as a Reversal to escape pressure with, remember that EX OK Blackout or Guard Cancel Blowback/Emergency Evasion exist as much safer, cheaper options.
